In recent years, the Ohio Supreme Court has made several decisions that have inarguably damaged the overall wellbeing of the state’s residents, including:
- Groch decision: Personal injury claims filed due to harmful defective equipment built 10 or more years ago are barred.
- Kaminski decision: Ohio Supreme Court blocks nearly all employee-against-employer injury claims by requiring employees to prove that their employer intentionally tried to hurt them.
- Lawson decision: Rearranged compensation priorities after successful personal injury claims to first pay off health insurance companies and then victims, even if this meant no money would reach the victim/plaintiff.
With humble backgrounds and extensive legal experience, both Judge Rice and O’Donnell will earnestly do their best to put the working families and consumers of Ohio before faceless corporations and insurance companies. Furthermore, they have been praised by an unbiased panel at the Ohio State Bar Association and appear to have fair yet strict standpoints on how to deal with crime in Ohio.
