About
A Proven Track Record of Success
Mason has tried catastrophic injury cases worth millions of dollars and complex business cases worth billions of dollars. With over forty-five years of legal experience, Mason knows how to handle tough cases involving motor vehicles, pharmaceuticals, defective products, mass torts, insurance coverage, and more.
Mason moved to Columbus after he graduated Order of the Coif and with Highest Honors from the George Washington University National Law Center. He started his trial practice with a small law firm and then moved on to become an equity partner in one of Columbus's then largest law firms. He moved on from that law firm after over thirty years to serve as general counsel at a computer forensic and cyber security firm. During this time, Mason also served as Counsel to the Ohio Supreme Court's Civil Rules Committee and was the principal author of Ohio's Civil Rules on electronic discovery.
Next, Mason and a friend started and ran a company specializing in electronic discovery. After Mason retired in 2016, his good friend Mike Rourke asked him to bring his unique skill set to Rourke and Blumenthal as of counsel.
Mason and his spouse Linda enjoy volunteer work, hiking, and visiting their adult children, one of whom lives outside Denver and the other in New York City.
